The weekend rolled around without much fanfare, just the usual breakage of showers and toilets. But nothing Ellie couldn't handle, she had been working quiet diligently on her handiness and was at the point of being a rather proficient handyman around the house. If it broke, Ellie fixed it!.
With nothing else to do this bright, Saturday morning. Ellie headed off to the bookstore to replenish her dwindling reading supply. As she flicked through the pages of her newest recipe, fruit parfait, she could faintly hear the sound of splashes in the distance. Curiosity made her turn her head towards the community pool, a bright blue beacon amongst the more subdued tones of its neighboring buildings.
It was always a sunshiny day in Sunset Valley, and the blue tiles seemed to beckon all who gazed upon them. And Ellie was no different. She snapped her book shut and turned towards the pool. Maybe a swim was just what she needed.
There were a few sims lounging here and there, and one splashing about in the pool. But no one Ellie recognized. So she twirled into her bathing suit and slipped her toes into the water.
She had been floating for a while before she noticed Thornton across the pool. When had he arrived?. He hadn't said hello, was that a sign of what he really thought of her?. Ellie thought maybe it was, maybe her gardening madness had put him off!.
But what if it hadn't, what if he simply hadn't noticed she was here?. Ellie huffed....all these 'what if's' were making her head spin. There really was only one way to find out.
"Hi" she called as she came near.
"Hi Elanor" Thornton smiled upon seeing her. It was a huge relief to Ellie, he didn't seem like he wanted to run away. "So, howz the garden going?."
Ellie almost choked, was this guy for real!. She had thought for sure he was sick of that topic by now, goodness knows she had sure butchered it a couple of days ago.
"Uhhh...all good" she chuckled, with a thumbs up.
"Good, maybe you can give me some pointers sometime."
"....yeah....love to" Ellie was flushed. He seemed so sweet.
