Saturday finally spun around, and much to Kenya's dismay, her & Zoya had indeed moved in with Hunter. As much as she had tried to argue with Skye, it was to no avail, Skye would not budge in her resolve. She wanted to have & raise this child on her own, and not Kenya or anyone could get her to do otherwise.
In the end, all she had managed to get from Skye was the promise that she would call if she needed anything. It broke Kenya's heart to see her first born having such a hard time of it, but she understood why Skye wished to make it on her own. And, if nothing else, she was proud of her.
"Mom, dad, is it ok if I go out today?" Zoya asked her parents.
"Hmmm, sure" Hunter said, his attention still firmly on his restaurant guide.
"Thats fine, just make sure you're home before it gets dark" Kenya said between violin strokes.
"And can I have some simoleans for new clothes?" Zoya begged, making puppy eyes, especially at Hunter.
Hunters eyes flicker away from the computer screen: "Whats wrong with what you're wearing?" he asked.
"Gah, are you kidding. This is soooo not cool, or fashionable" Zoya exclaimed, as if everyone was a fashion guru and should know these things.
Hunter sighed, it had been a while since he had been exposed to teen wants: "You don't like any of Lucy's old clothes?" he asked.
"No, they're so......not girlie. And I want some girlie clothes."
Hunter looked back at Kenya, who had a small smile on her lips. Clearing his throat he said: "Fine, but don't go ape on the buying. Just get yourself a few things, ok?."
"Thank you daddy" Zoya squealed before grabbing the phone and dialing Christophers number.
"Hey Chris, you wanna hang out?" she asked.
"Sure, I'll be over in a mo" Christopher said,
"Cool, see you soon" with that Zoya hung up the phone and then dashed upstairs to change into something warmer. Snow may not be covering the ground just yet, but it was still somewhat chilly outdoors.
When Zoya was gone, Hunter turned to Kenya and asked: "Who's Chris?."
Kenya chuckled. "He's a boy she met in school when they were still kids. They've been friends ever since."
"Hmph!, just as long as thats all they are.....friends" Hunter grumbled before turning back to his restaurant guide.
Zoya had changed into one of Lucy's old tracksuits, and was making her way back downstairs when the lift decided to plummet down to the first floor. As the doors eased open, Zoya came tumbling out, her head a dizzy mess.
"Ohhhhhh!" she moaned as she tried to get her footing and still the nausea and dizzyness that was enveloping her. "Stupid lift" she mumbled.
It was then that she heard a deep chuckle.
