Deano ambled into the kitchen, clearly not thinking about or paying attention to where he was going, for he almost stood on poor Patch's tail. Letting out a small little whimper, Patch let his master know that his tail, his precious tail, was but a few inches from his hard soled boots.
"Oh hey boy!" Deano said with suprise as he was ripped from his daydreaming. "You want some food boy" he asked, although it really wasn't a question at all.
Patch wagged his tail and then tucked it closer to his bum, discreetly removing it from any boot mishaps that may occur.
"So" Deano said, bending down to scoop the empty bowl up, "I've been thinking.....about this thing thats been bothering me......right!" he said, looking down at Patch. "And its really got me confuzzled" he sighed.
Patch let his tongue flop out of his mouth and he gave Deano a big, toothy grin.
"The thing is....for the first time in....I dunno how long....I actually want to fall in love" Deano said absently as he rubbed the bottom of the bowl clean.
Patch made a small grumble in the base of his throat before resuming his morning grooming. Gah, sims and their trivial problems!. They should try being a dog for a change, it was hard work. What with all the growling they had to do, all the barking at strange neighbors they had to maintain, being a dog was no easy feat. Maybe his master should think about that before he moaned about silly girl troubles.
Besides, Patch thought, he had girl troubles of his own. That Myst was a handful!. One minute she was all accepting of the sniff, and the next she was snapping his head off at being sniffed. In Patch's opinion, the two of them should just walk off into the sunset and leave all their girl troubles behind.
"The thing is, its just so.........constricting...this whole love business" Deano continued, clearly talking more to himself than he was to Patch. "You know what I mean...right?."
Patch barked in agreement.
"Yeah, thought so" Deano laughed, messing chunks on the floor as he haphazarldy tossed food into the bowl.
"So now you tell me, should I go for it or should I forget about it?" he asked, bending down to pat Patch on the head.
Patch barked again.
"Go for it?" he asked and Patch barked.
"Not go for it?" Patch groaned, he clearly wasn't getting it.......was he?.
"Hmmmm, ok. So you barked for 'go for it' and not for 'leave it'. Sssooooo you're saying I should go for it?" Deano speculated.
Patch bowed his head and grumbled, was this man an idiot or something!.
Deano straightened his body into an upright position and looked down at Patch. "Ok boy, I'll take your advice and go for it."
Patch shook his head and continued his grooming. Sometimes he wonder why the sims were the ones in charge, they clearly didn't have any common sense!. And from what he had seen his master do to some of the pretty ladies who came here......who exactly was the animal anyway!!.

Lol. I love doing Deano chapters for you, you're always so happy to see him. I promise to do more in the future.
I wouldn't say that Mel has given up on Chance, she was quiet suprised to find out Deenie wanted to fall in love with her. Who says she can't date two men at once......if nothing else, it should be interesting :-)
Maybe Chance will get jealous, hee hee. Might improve her 'chances' :-)
I love Patch, he seems so expressive. I'm glad I managed to get him in the shot and chilling for a moment to groom himself. Usually Patch is outside growling at passerby's, lol.
